Many skills are required to follow a book from concept, design and through production. In the early years of my career, I was a Managing Editor for Fodor's/Compass American Guides, a division of Random House. For Compass, I not only edited close to a dozen 200+ page travel guides and worked extensively and intimately with each book’s authors and photographers, but I also layed desktop published each book from cover to cover.
For SuperTopo publishing, I designed, edited, researched print quotes, and also worked closely with the selected printer to see each guidebook through the proofing and production stages. Currently, my publishing clients include Lost Borders Press as well as independent authors who are self-publishing their titles.
Thus, I am not only a book designer, but also an editor, production artist and print vendor manager and can help with any phase of your publishing project.
